I am a super excited, full of life, passionate person who loves to inspire others and provide tools needed to create real change in real positive ways. I believe that listening to your mind, body, and soul are key elements to getting control of your health not just physically but in your career, relationships and spiritually.
My health journey has had it’s up and downs along the way but I have picked up a mish mash of tid bits along the way.
At 18, I was overweight, out of shape, and plagued with major onset body issues. I had been an unhealthy vegetarian and it really just didn’t work for me. I dove right into working out lost 40 pounds before starting college and never looked back. Exercise and obsession over food became an everyday struggle for me. For the first time in my life I developed food allergies and I just never felt good.
18 years later I’m still working out but my motivation has changed. At 34, I work out smarter not harder. I am more focused on being mindful, creating positive energy, and making a difference in this world rather than focusing on the physical appearances. For the first time in forever I feel like I’ve gotten my life back! I changed my diet to follow a ketogenic approach and I feel amazing! More energy, better sleep, better workouts, leaner, and my hair and nails are stronger! I am a fat fueled girl with a pantry stocked full of coconut, avocado, and bacon!
I’m a firm believer in healing yourself through your food! Hypocrites said it best “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” I stick to natural remedies and pay attention to what my mind and body need. I’m happier than ever and don’t beat myself up over the small things. No more guilt no more cravings!
What I hope to help others realize is that your body is different than mine and you have to figure out what path, what diet is right for you and your lifestyle. Your health and wellness isn’t one diet, one way of exercising, one way of thinking its a mishmash of tid bits we collect along the way.
